The University has initiated a master planning study to explore the future of the libraries and how they can best support learners, faculty and researchers for the 21st century at UMass Amherst. In this initial part of the study, the planning team will be facilitating workshops for undergraduate students. These will be interactive workshops that combine facilitated discussions with activities designed to gather input and explore future possibilities.

.

The workshops will address issues such as

Student work patterns and use of the library

Aspirations for future facilities and services, to meet collaborative and individual needs

Support for learning and research and the use of resources

Campus culture and connectivity

.

Please plan on this workshop session lasting approximately 1 1/2 hour. If you would like, you may bring with you 1 or 2 others from your program or group if you feel they would offer additional points of view as part of the conversation. Please RSVP to attend this session by replying to twarner@library.umass.edu.
