OIT Remote Printing now works with Vista!!!!

Veteran's Day Holiday!

The Library will be open on Veterans Day (Tuesday November 11th) and once again we will be following the regular work schedule at the LC Desk. If you are planning to be absent, please remember that you will need to find a substitute to cover your shift.

We will also be following the regular LC Desk work schedule on Wednesday, November 12th rather than the Tuesday class schedule. In the event you have a shift that conflicts with one of your classes, please let Peter know by Monday, November 3rd so that we will have time to find replacement coverage for you.

Survey Says!!!!

Not Exactly... The Seating Sweeps Survey is back this week and runs through Saturday at 8:30 PM! Everyone's help is appreciated in completing the survey at the bottom of every hour. (8:30, 9:30, etc.)

New Exhibit: UMass Football Memories.

The new exhibit in the cases between the stairs features photos and memorabilia highlighting the history of football at UMass. It will run through the end of the semester. Check it out!!!!

Study Abroad Advising in the LC!!!!

The International Programs Office (umass.edu/ipo) will offer Study Abroad Advising in the LC at the Advising Link. They will be available to answer questions and guide students on Mondays from 2:00-4:00PM, Tuesdays 12:30-3:30 PM, and Wednesdays 1:00 to 4:00PM.

Coming soon......an exhibit!!!

During this homecoming weekend, the Library expects many visitors. There will be an exhibit in the display cases by week's end. Please keep an eye on the cases and be sure they are cleaned on schedule with the computer and printer stations.

Stop the Presses....UPDATE!!

The Library's color printer near the Reference and Research Assistance Desk requires a different type of paper than the black and white printers. The paper required for the color printer has a bit of a shine and is a higher quality paper. It can be found in the bottom drawer beneath the headphones. Any questions, ask a supervisor!!!!

The timeclock is moving....UPDATE!!!!!!!

The Kronos time clock machine in the staff lounge has been relocated to a new location on the west side of the entrance level. Please swipe in and out there from now on!

Printers & Copiers & Staplers, Oh My!

Please remember to check the paper supply in the printers and copiers periodically during your shift. Ideally, they should never run out of paper. The staple station should also be a certain stop on every rove.

Columbus Day Holiday!!

This is a final reminder that although Monday, October 13th is a holiday and there are no classes, the Library will be open and the Monday work schedule in the Library will be in effect.

Please note that it is your responsibility to find another LC student to cover your shift in the event you will not be working your assigned shift that day.

Furthermore, even though the Monday class schedule will be in effect on Tuesday, October 14th, we will be following the Tuesday (not the Monday)work schedule in the Library. If this results in a scheduling conflict for you, please let me (or your supervisor) know no later than Monday afternoon (10/6) so that we can make arrangements for the coverage of your shift.
