Great news! We have new printers on the library side that should be much much faster.

They default to the new black & white printers which have "LearningCommons" as the file name (or something like that). If you see a printer called "BW", that refers to the old printer which doesn't exist anymore...a simple rebooting of the computer will take care of the problem. (Although by the time you read this, all of the library computers should be all set).

These printers take a different cartridge than the old ones. Also, we no longer need to open the drawers to check the paper level...just look for the little plastic lever; it shows the paper level.

Scanner trouble?

If the scanner is behaving problematically, please check to make sure the USB cable is securely attached to both the scanner and the computer. If it is loose or detached, the scanner will display an ActionExpress Disabled message.

thanks!

THANKS EVERYBODY!

We are over half way through the semester and you are all doing a great job!

Keep up the hard work and I thank you all for doing an excellent job remembering to punch in and out.
HEADPHONES

Currently we are in the process of installing headphones onto the library computers (not OIT computers). If someone is using a library computer and it doesn't have headphones, please plug a new set of headphones into the front of the computer and use a plastic tie to secure it to the cables in the back of the computer. At this time we will not be lending out these headphones to people who are using the OIT computers.

If you have any questions, ask your supervisor.

Thanks!

!!YOUR CHANCE AT 10 MINUTES OF FAME AND FORTUNE!!

We are looking for our student staff members to be in a TV commercial shoot
that will highlight the University, on Friday, April 6th. We are looking for about 40 students of all genders, races and ages to participate in the commercial. The students will be paid for their time. Right now the broad time slot is from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; hopefully soon we will know the exact timing of the shoot. If you have students that will be working on Friday and are interested in being in the commercial please let me know right away. If you have students that normally do not work on Fridays or during the a.m. hours that are interested please send along their names too.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Dianna
