Awesome tutorials! Did you know that you can have access to free Microsoft electronic tutorials? Just go to:

http://mell.oit.umass.edu/

You will need to register and then login (scroll down to see the login link. As always, you will need an OIT username and password to use these tutorials.

Follow the instructions and you have a great learning resource! We could all use some on-going training when it comes to learning about the programs that we have on the LC computers. Plus, it will help you in your own educational/skills pursuit!

When installing hard drives for patrons please install these yourself instead of letting the patron do it. Retrieve the plastic filler slot thing and place it in the box that you took that hard drive out of (place this box back into the cabinet). This allows us to quickly find a hard drive that a patron has forgotten to check back in.

Please be extra careful about checking calculators in and out...the circulation office comes down every day to see why calculators have not been checked back in to Milcirc. It is imperative that calculators get checked back in when patrons return them; otherwise they get fined for them. We want to avoid having a patron fined for a calculator that they have actually returned.

Thanks!

WHERE HAVE ALL THE HEADPHONES GONE?

We seem to be losing headphones...please remind folks when they check out headphones that they need to return them and that they should not leave the library with them. We have no more left...
